Oct. 28, 2017 Baton Rouge Rugby 40th Anniversary

The Baton Rouge Men’s Rugby Club would like to invite all Alumni of Baton Rouge Rugby (as well as friends and fans of BR Rugby) to a Day of Rugby at their Highland Road Park pitch! There will be a rugby scrimmage match with the alumni vs. the men’s club to celebrate life AND 40 years of Rugby in Baton Rouge! The Day will also feature LSU Women’s rugby taking on the Houston Women in a scrimmage! We will also have one period of touch rugby for dad’s vs kids or any old fart that wants a run but no tackle. The rugby will kick off at 1pm and there will be multiple periods as long as people want to play!

The cost will be $60 for alumni to play, a party (drinks and food) and get a commemorative 40th Anniversary BR Rugby Polo!

There will be an afterparty at Les Bratton’s property- Beauvoir Park- under the Perkins overpass. The party will begin at 7pm-until and there will libations, food, candy for the kids, tall tails of days past, and general debauchery. The party will be very family friendly- there will be a costume party to celebrate the Halloween weekend with prizes for best costumes!
