French International Kélian Galletier will wear black ‘n gold for next two seasons
NOLA Gold Rugby has signed Kélian Galletier for the 2025 and 2026 seasons. The seasoned French flanker brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and a touch of European rugby excellence to the vibrant city of New Orleans.
Galletier, originally from the south of France, has competed at the highest levels in the Top 14, European competitions, and on the international stage. His 13 year professional journey began with Montpellier Hérault Rugby (MHR), where he made 175 appearances over 11 years, serving as captain and line-out leader. During his time with MHR, the team won the French Top 14 championship in 2022, finishing as vice-champions in 2018, and securing the Challenge Cup in 2016.
Most recently, Galletier played for USA Perpignan (USAP) in 35 matches, once again taking on a leadership role as captain and key forward. His international experience includes representing France in six test matches, with notable tours to New Zealand and Argentina, as well as competing in the 2018 Six Nations Championship.
Galletier’s arrival signals not only a boost for the team but also an exciting cultural connection between French rugby flair and the unique atmosphere of New Orleans.
