NOLA Gold signs five more players ahead of 2025 campaign
NOLA Gold has signed five more players to its 2025 roster, including, French International Xavier Mignot. A skilled wing, Xavier has been a key player in the Top 14 with Lyon since 2017.
The Gold also signed Tyler Matchem, a promising young talent and Canada international. A tighthead prop, Tyler made his debut during the Pacific Nations Cup.
“As a bright, up-and-coming player, we’re excited to see him bring his energy and skills to the pitch this season,’’ said Gold coach Danny Lee.
The Gold also signed Isaac Te Tamaki, a dynamic center from New Zealand who has played for the All Blacks Sevens team (2015-2018), Valence Romans Drôme Rugby in Pro D2 (2024), and the Southland Stags (2017-2024).
Other signees include USA Eagle Luke Carty, a talented flyhalf who most recently played for the Chicago Hounds (2023-2024) and has also laced up his cleats for the LA Giltinis (2021-2022), and Connacht Rugby (2017-2020).
Nikolai Foliaki, a center with nine caps representing his native Tonga will also join The Gold after playing last season for Western Force in Super Rugby. ✨
