Sip for a Cause with NOLA Gold Bartenders to Support Son of a Saint

Dat Dog is teaming up with NOLA Gold to host a fun-filled evening benefitting Son of a Saint, the New Orleans nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of fatherless boys through mentorship and education from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on April 12 at Dat Dog on Magazine Street (3336 Magazine St.).

To show their support, celebrity guest bartenders will be shaking things up behind the bar, including New Orleans media personality Tamica Lee, whose brother, Sonny Lee, founded Son of a Saint in honor of their late father, Bivian Lee Jr., a former New Orleans Saints player. Also joining us will be Reagan Charleston and Alex Robinson, as well as NOLA Gold Rugby players. As a new community partner of Son of a Saint, NOLA Gold Rugby is dedicated to growing the sport of rugby while positively impacting the community.

Guests will be sipping on the show’s star—the Sonny’s Lemon Sipper! This 22-ounce cocktail combines Cathead Vodka, triple sec, lemon and pineapple juices, and a splash of Sprite, served in a commemorative cup. It’s the perfect drink for enjoying lively outdoor gatherings on warm New Orleans days. The drink also pairs perfectly with Dat Dog’s “Black n’ Bleu ’Dog,” another delicious menu item supporting Son of a Saint.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Son of a Saint, so every sip and bite helps further the organization’s mission. This is not just a chance to unwind on a beautiful spring evening with a cocktail in hand; it’s an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of young men in New Orleans.

Son of a Saint launched in 2011 to address the burgeoning problem of fatherless boys in the New Orleans area. Under the direction of Bivian “Sonny” Lee III, the 501(c)(3) organization is dedicated to its mission of transforming the lives of young males through mentorship, emotional support, development of life skills, exposure to constructive experiences, and formation of positive, lasting peer-to-peer relationships.
